Beautiful Beer

The Beautiful Beer campaign, driven by the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA), aims to encourage more consumers to make beer their drink of choice on more occasions. Within this campaign, the Beautiful Beer Awards, launched in early 2006, are designed to recognise pubs, bars and restaurants that can demonstrate measurable standards of excellence in beer quality and so enhance the consumer experience of beer drinking. The Beautiful Beer Awards are the first to recognise excellence across all beers – draught and bottled. Extensive marketing of the scheme will create awareness among consumers of Beautiful Beer as a badge of beer quality, and lead to increased beer sales in the pubs that achieve it.

Beautiful Beer Awards

The Beautiful Beer Awards scheme is now run by Cask Marque although the PR of the awards and the Beautiful Beer Campaign itself remains the remit of the BBPA.

If you would like to apply for either the gold or the platinum award then please download the relevant form and send off to us with a cheque for:

Gold - £150 + VAT = £176.25
Platinum - £175 + VAT = £205.63

If you have a sponsor this amount may be half. Give us a call on 01206 752212 to discuss further.

When we receive your application we will send out a VAT receipt and copies of the forms which can be downloaded here. If you apply for the platinum you will get a call from one of our assessors to ensure that you are ready for a platinum visit as they are very thorough and only the very best can pass them!

Gold Award

This consists of a cellar & bar audit as well as a check of all the different beers.

Platinum Award

The Platinum Award covers not only everything in the Gold Award but also an extra section on providing the ultimate customer experience. This covers a larger range of beers, staff knowledge, beer menus, matching beer and food and more.
